August is  very improtant month . The kandy perahera is held in august. this procession is held for days . lots of  peaple come to  see the  perahara  it is very beaut ifull. there are dressed beautiful  is cloothes of different designg and cloths  the wife  craccker announce thoarrival of the perahera  they are foollowed by  color pull dancers, tomtom , beatrs, flog brerers and stillt walker. the torch bearers illuminat the  path of the procession

The earth is speciol becous it is our home. earth is the third plant in the soler system . it is obout 93 million miles awey from the sun but  it still receives the light and heat of the  sun    Earth is the only  planet where we know for sure that  life existes .many  kinds  of life such  as  plants ,animals and  husmans exist on this earth in earty times . peaple thought that  the earth  was a flat disc.     pythagoras was the first person  who  said that  the earth is a globe his saying  was proved by many  facts such as saterllite photographs.

My hobby is reading book .  I  have  got  lots of book  with me  I keep all  of them on a shelp .     Every  years  my  parent  present  me a   story book  for  my birthday  .  I went  to  smoll libry.  I  have  alredy  colect  many book . I have  read  allof them .  I  have  gaind  knowoleged  of  various  thing  by  reading makte  afull  manand  I  went to be an  educated person  one day

The are many game inthe world . They can  be divided into main cotegories  indoor and out of these i like  cheess    very much . I is an  indoor game  that can be  pleyed  by  two  peaple . we  need  a chees  board  play the game  The  chess  pieces are  as  Queen’s   castel ,  knight, king’s   castel  and so on this  game  helped to improve our brain and  the maind . chess is a populer indoor game played world wide                           to be a   good  chees  played  one  musthave  great patience a  high  level of thinkinand a great power of  contration.

we held an english day  in our shcool on  AGUST 05   This  year our team  was  we  are the world our english teachers  in the  shcool  organice it. It was  the  first time we held an  english  varatiety  show in the  school . It  helped  us  to  improw  our  knowlegd  of the  language.  many  distingushed  guests  and  parent  come to see the  programme . the  additional  director of english and the zonal  director of english were among the  distiguished .

The mahaweli river  is the longerst  river  in sri lanka   it stards from adams park and foolls to   the oceon  at trenkomalee . this river is very useful  toour contry  beacous itis used to irrigate alargeares of arable lands need for agicculture in the past out country prodnced  sufficient rice  to feed oll the peple and our contris wos colled the  grahary of the east But letter We imported rice to our  country unil quite  recrendy .

My    home    garden  is  big and beautiful .  it  has many  pretty flower  such as  roses shoe flower  anthuriam and  bougainvillaes  Temple  flower  olso  grow in my home  garden                                                               same are night  blooming flower  like . jasming blooming in the  give out a sweet frogrance.They are many  big tree  such  mango , king coconut ,  growing in my  home garden  They give  shad to my  home graden       They are many  vegitable  beds  too and they give fresh  vegitable  for our  me  als  We grow  some medicinal  plants  like  aloe  vera and   ginger . Alo vera  is  useful  when we  get burnt 

Food ball is very populer game.  dating back to the 13th  14th  centuries  when it  wos  frist  pleyed  in england .  Lack  of formal rules  made it  a  dangerous game  in those days. leisure  mean  free time .  In our  leisure time  .  We like to do so  many interesting  thing . They are the hobbys .  They  are many differant hobby. Woching ty ,  playing compiuter game , drawing art ,  collectin  stamp  and  garding are some  of them .                              If we can  spend our leirsure   criativele , itis  use full for  us.   Doing the hobbies we can learn and practies as well. we can develop our talents by using  learure meaning fully.                So try to select a good  hobby to do  in  your  leisury  time.

Sinharaja  forest  is the only undisturbed rain forest left in  sri lanka . it is about 9000  plants are very rare . over 60%   of the  opesies are found only in the lowland wer zone of  sri lanka  if these  species of trres are allwed to  get  destroved the  world would iose  them altogether  so it  important that much  effort is made to conserve this  rich. valuable and  fragile  hobitat.                                         The Sinharaja  forest is  the  largest   forest  rescver in Sri lanka  in 1940 sinharaja become a crown property in 1988 the  sinharaja was  made a National wildererness are a  1989  unesco in cludes the  sinharaja  forest in  the world  heria list as the first National Her  itage of   sri lanka .                                The Sinharaja  forest is home to   many  rare  animals  , birds, butterflies , insects ,  repties and trees.
